Warranty Work

If you have work that is within manufacturers warranty, but do not wish to use a main dealer, we are also able to carry out work under your warranty. In october 2003, European legislation, affecting the motor trade came into force. Its full title is block exemption regulation 1400/2002 and prior to this, it was very difficult to have any car still under warranty, serviced outside of a main dealer. The EU Commision now makes it clear that a customer shall not loose their warranty claims against the vehicle manufacturer if works have been carried out by an independent specialist. To read the block exemption regulation in full please visit www.adi.be/ber .

 Ferrari servicing Procedure

At Shiltech, we use only the Ferrari approved method of cam belt change, ensuring we are able to check other aspects of your engine during the process. Other specialists will simply remove fuel tanks or other parts to gain access to the front of the engine, and cam belt area. This, while making the process quicker and cheaper, is wrong.

Methods set by Ferrari avoid possible damage this can cause. By removing the engine we are able to see all belts, in there running environment, and replace effectively, while also having clear access to check surrounding and related parts, such as tensioner bearings. During our cambelt srvice, this method also means you willl receive a full fluid change, as well as replacement of both cam belts, and auxillary belts. Inspections that take place during your service mean we can also make sure your pride and joys powerhouse is running cleanly and smoothly for years to come.
